Expeditions

Alaska stretches across the far north like a rugged, untamed crown on the edge of the continent, a land of glaciers, mountains, and vast wilderness.

Easier to reach than the polar regions but no less awe-inspiring, an Alaskan cruise is an invitation to experience dramatic landscapes and unforgettable wildlife. This is not merely a land of snow and ice—Alaska boasts temperate rainforests, fjords carved by glaciers, and vibrant coastal towns alive with culture and history. From the native Tlingit and Haida heritage to gold rush-era architecture and lively arts communities, Alaska blends natural grandeur with rich human stories.

The scenery and wildlife are extraordinary. Towering glaciers calve into sparkling fjords, brown and black bears forage along riverbanks, and bald eagles soar overhead. Orcas, humpback whales, and sea otters populate the coastal waters, while moose wander lush forested valleys. Adventure awaits at every turn: kayak through misty channels, hike alongside glacial streams, or take a helicopter flight over snow-capped peaks. Each day brings the chance to witness nature at its most powerful and pristine.

Luxury and ultra-luxury Alaskan cruises have elevated the experience of exploration. Once rugged and remote, these journeys now feature gourmet dining, spa treatments, and first-class accommodations—ensuring you can immerse yourself in Alaska’s wonders in absolute comfort. Imagine returning from a zodiac excursion to enjoy a warm drink on your private deck, or spotting wildlife from the comfort of your observation lounge as glaciers sparkle in the distance.

Our intrepid adventurers’ recommended Alaska must-do.

Our very own CEO and Founder, James Cole, recently crossed the pond to explore the remote charms of Alaska. His biggest takeaway is just how unmissable the scenery is—no postcard on earth could possibly do it justice. The aptly named Misty Fjords, Glacier Bay National Park and the dramatic beauty of Juneau’s mountainous skyline all look like something out of a fairytale, and you’ll find that recentring yourself in the natural world will be the order of the day, every day. It doesn’t matter whether you explore via Zodiac, hike or kayak, you’ll want to have your camera at the ready!
