Royal Caribbean Icon Class

There are plans for the Icon Class to consist of three ships, two of which are currently in the process of being built at the Meyer Turku shipyard in Finland. The first, Icon of the Seas, made her spectacular debut in January 2024. The second, Star of the Seas, should set sail in summer 2025, and the unnamed third vessel is slated to launch sometime in 2026.

Royal Caribbean's Icon-class ships represent a new and exciting chapter in the cruise industry. These ships are a part of Royal Caribbean's commitment to sustainability and innovation. The vessels will utilise liquefied natural gas (LNG) as their primary fuel source and are anticipated to have a substantial gross tonnage of approximately 200,000 GT, offering accommodations for approximately 5,600 passengers. Notably, the Icon class introduces Royal Caribbean's maiden deployment of a parabolic bow design, aimed at enhancing stability and ensuring a smoother sailing experience.
