Swan Hellenic

The Swan Hellenic story starts all the way back in the 1950’s, when British travel agent, Swan’s Tours, took members of the Hellenic Society to see some of the most famous ancient sites in Greece. They continued with expedition sailings all over the world, before a tumultuous period in the noughties.

Well, Swan Hellenic are back. So back, in fact, that they’ve now got three of their own ships, and you can sail with them to all seven continents.

Let me put it this way: if curiosity had a cruise line, this would be it. Every sailing is like the world’s best school trip (but for adults, of course). Expect a mix of scholars, explorers, and experts on board (both as passengers and as part of the expedition team). There are also more ports of call than you’d find on most cruises, with a stunning mix of history, wildlife, and geography.

Swan Hellenic

We’re not afraid to say it, Swan Hellenic operates in the Goldilocks Zone of expedition cruising. Everything, especially the onboard atmosphere, is just right. The crew remembers your name without overdoing the familiarity. The food is delicious without being pretentious. The excursions are incredible, but you’re never forced to do anything you don’t want to do. If you want to stay up chatting all evening, you can, but you also won’t be woken up by drunken guests if you catch an early night. Somehow, Swan Hellenic seems to get it just right for all guests, no matter their preference.
