Oceania’s commitment to culinary excellence is evident from the start of your cruise until the very end with all meals prepared ‘à la minute’. Artisanal ingredients, world-class chefs and Michelin Star type galleys combine to excite and delight you.
Specialty dining is included within your cruise so you can enjoy:
- Toscana – meaning ‘Tuscan’, this Italian eatery has recipes handed down the generations of the Italian staff onboard the ships. Dishes presented on custom-designed Versace china celebrate Italy’s culinary passion.
- Polo Grill – a classic steakhouse, every inch of this restaurant is traditional. From the white linen tablecloths to the burgundy leather chairs, it sets the scene for the food served. All the beef is USDA Prime and is dry-aged for 28 days to enhance its tenderness and flavour. If you wish to enjoy something different, why not try the traditional Caesar salad, prepared at your table or even the Maine lobster gratinée?
- Jacques – step into a piece of Paris in this delightful and enchanting bistro. Decorated with antiques and art from Master Chef Jacques Pépin’s personal collection, the ambiance is pure French. The dishes are classics, reinvented and reinterpreted, each more delicious than the last.
- Red Ginger – bold Asian cuisine pairs with an air of tranquillity thanks to soothing water features and striking artwork. You’ll be tempted by Asian classics from across the region in a stunning mix of flavours.
- Tuscan Steak – the newest of the specialty restaurants, it emanates the warmth and Italian flair of Toscana while maintaining the traditional appeal of Polo Grill. The innovative and diverse menu blends the two worlds together perfectly.
- Terrace Café – enjoy informal dining any time of day. Huge windows provide brightness for a sumptuous breakfast, while lunch sees an expansive menu in place. Dinner is a grander affair with smartly clad waiters and cuisine including lobster tails and hand-cut sushi. This is a restaurant that changes every day, all day.
- Waves Grill – enjoy al fresco dining just steps away from the swimming pool this is casual dining centred around all-American favourites. Or enjoy a raw, pressed juice instead to boost your natural health.
- Horizons – take your afternoon tea in style to the sounds of a string quartet. Served at 4 o’clock sharp, this cherished tradition is done justice onboard Oceania’s ships.

There are more than 50 tours available that reveal the timeless wellness practices of the locals in the ports all over the world. Stunning destinations, foreign cultures and healthy lifestyles all combine to create an incredible travel experience.

Excursions, Entertainment and Activities
Oceania offers such a broad array of excursions that there is absolutely something to suit everyone. Split into a variety of categories, there is an easy way to find the right one for you too and they have categories including:
- Culinary discovery – example tour is the Tuscan Food & Wine At Luxurious Villa Dianella where you’ll browse Livorno’s local market with all its Tuscan produce. You’ll have a cooking demonstration and a delicious lunch before strolling the cellars of gardens. Upon departure, you’ll be presented with a gift too.
- Food and drink – take a full day to explore and sample the delicious local cuisine of the port in focus, paired with the perfect local wines. You can enjoy a guided tour in many cases or the opportunity to explore alone too.
- Go local – meet the locals on a historic and cultural experience in exotic destinations such as Kranlendijk to see how the Dutch influenced Bonaire since the 17th century, for example.
- Minimal activity – for those who don’t want to exert themselves too much
- Oceania exclusive – enjoy Magnificent Petra & Wadi Rum Adventure in ancient Aqaba. You’ll explore the spectacular Nabataean city of Petra, a UNESCO World Heritage site carved out of red sandstone hills, access Petra through a breathtaking narrow gorge with walls towering over 650 feet and so much more. These excursions will only be available with an Oceania cruise
- Oceania select – visit places such as El Descanso Island: Labyrinth of Streams in Buenos Aires. A beautiful island accessed by boat, you’ll take part in yoga before a deliciously healthy lunch. You’ll wander stunning gardens and take a scenic boat trip back to your ship.
- Wellness tour – take a mineral bathing experience in Melbourne at 120-year old Hepburn Springs Bathhouse. You’ll rejuvenate and detoxify with treatments designed with your personal goals in mind plus enjoy aromatherapy and a creek-side dip.
Some excursions can even be enjoyed at night in a break from the more traditional shore excursion. With Oceania, you’ll find the perfect excursion to immerse yourself in the destinations you’ll be visiting.
Each ship features a unique line up of onboard shows and entertainers so the immense variety of entertainment options ensures that your interests will be constantly piqued. Enjoy talks from guest lecturers, who might be naturalists or historians and take in world-class musical performances with pianists, string quartets and vocalists. And afterwards, you can even stop off at the Monte Carlo-esque casino to have a flutter.

Oceania’s signature sailings also host special guests such as CBS Sports’ Verne Lundquist or their very own Executive Culinary Director, Jacques Pépin and they deliver exclusive lectures, cooking demonstrations and dependent on the sailing, other special events too.
Sustainability
Water is at the heart of everything Oceania does and they work hard to preserve this resource and the environment as a whole. They take environmental responsibility very seriously and make the smartest, most responsible choices in respect to it.
Canadian-made products achieve the following:
- Heat recovery in massage systems
- Single energy saving high-efficiency blower
- Reduced waste at job sites when installing baths due to factory engineering efficiencies
- Use of hybrid resins in manufacturing processes
- Reduction of potential pollutants in manufacturing processes
- Where possible, local materials are used to reduce greenhouse gas emissions
There is also ongoing research conducted regarding green materials and their use in manufacture to reduce the carbon footprint of the cruise line.
