Fantasia Class
MSC Cruises debuted their Fantasia Class in 2008 with the first ship, MSC Fantasia. Three sister ships soon followed, with MSC Splendida, MSC Divina and MSC Preziosa debuting in 2009, 2012 and 2013 respectively. In recent years, the Fantasia class ships have been overtaken by much bigger ships, so they sit quite comfortably in mid- to large-ship category, holding an average of 3,388 guests at double capacity on each vessel.
Their smaller size is reflected in the dining options; there are fewer restaurants than you might find on MSC's newer ships. The Yacht Club concept was first established aboard MSC Fantasia and the ensuing sister ships and has since been redeveloped and improved through a number of modern refurbishments aboard both the existing fleet as well as with the conception of each new MSC ship.
