Furthermore, as part of the Cruise Lines International Association (CLIA), there are even stricter guidelines in place to promote more environmentally-friendly in its member cruise lines.
From environmentally friendly lubricants used on thrusters and a diesel electric power plant and shore power connectivity to offshore dynamic positioning capabilities utilizing GPS and thrusters to avoid dropping anchor in delicate areas, some of the Endeavour’s most important features are not visible yet hugely impactful.
Crystal Cruises has also pledged to significantly minimise the use of plastics on board, use more efficient fixtures, reusing towels and reducing waste water by up to 650,000 gallons per year just from laundry alone.
